Dear Neighbors,
I am Sheila Lyons and I am running to be your next State Senator for the Cape & Islands. I am running as a Democrat because I know what social justice and safety nets mean to people without wealth or power.
As your Barnstable County Commissioner, and approaching my fourth year in County government, I am already working full-time on the problems
unique to our region. We live in extraordinary times where State and Federal resources are diminishing. We must have reasoned, viable and creative solutions to our problems, and a strong voice ensuring equitable distribution of resources and support for the Cape & Islands.
As your full-time State Senator, I will fight on your behalf for:
- Our fair share of State and Federal resources
- Balanced and sustainable economic development
- Protection for our fragile environment
- The well-being of our older residents
